Who does not know the benefits of yoga? They are already doing so would say yoga helps calm the mind, making the body lighter, fresher, and younger. However, not all yoga poses can be done by most people. There is a type-own type that suits you.
What are the benefits of yoga?
"Yoga helps to relax the mind and reduce stress while toning the body (build muscles long and lean)," said Dana Slamp, senior yoga instructor at Pure Yoga. "Yoga can improve balance, mental focus, and reflects the positive aura in the body, as well as self-awareness."
Yoga works on the body and brain. The point is not to practice all-out, such as when a cardio workout or complete count of movements performed repeatedly.
"In yoga you are actually asked to recharge, for the present, remain alert while practicing to focus," said Terrence Monte, a teacher at Pure Yoga. Such concentration of forces you to block all "interference", such as thinking about work deadlines, or quarrel with the people near you.
Choosing the proper yoga
Flowing Classes
Vinyasa Yoga includes a variety of classes that are characterized by flowing poses and sequences associated with the breath. This type of yoga can be considered as one of the more traditional forms. That's why this type is referred to as flow yoga, the dance-like movements as a gentle transition from one movement to another movement.
Slow Flow Yoga is an in-depth approach to Vinyasa yoga. This movement poses to use breathing to reveal body awareness, inner strength, and a quiet opening.
"Prema Vinyasa classes include philosophy and meditative aspects without prejudice to the exercise," said Slamp.
This exercise is more powerful than vinyasa, where you will perform the poses more difficult, while exploring the body, mind, and soul through music and meditation. Prema is suitable for those who already regularly practice yoga, who want to exercise more active without losing thinking approach.
Focus on cardio
If you want to follow cardio class or who spend a lot of energy on the treadmill, you might be more interested in classes that provide spending more sweat, like Hot Power Yoga and Figure 4 is in a new class, Pure Yoga.
Hot yoga is done in a studio room with a temperature of 95-105 degrees Fahrenheit (35-40 degrees Celsius), and is becoming popular among the lovers of yoga today.
Monte gives reasons why this type of yoga is attracting a lot of attention.
"The heat makes your muscles more malleable so you can feel a deeper stretch and release it properly," he said.
Hot Yoga classes are generally accompanied by loud music that attracts many people's attention. This class is more focused on the movement, not meditation.
One thing that Monte warned to be careful, "Hot Yoga classes can give you pain, so you need to be more careful about what you do on your body."
There is also a Yoga class Figure 4, which focuses on abdominal exercises, arms, buttocks, and thighs. "This class also provides cardio interval that help boost metabolism and keep your heart rate in the fat burning zone," said Kate Albarelli, founder of Figure 4 at Pure Yoga.
"The body will respond with a more elastic muscles, lean, and toned, and the mind will be pleased with the release of endorphins," he said.
Meditation
This yoga class specifically on focusing the mind. Restorative Yoga Nidra and should be done at least once a week to balance the physical classes. This class is good to calm the mind, to make you sleep more soundly, and could serve as a natural sleep aid.
