If you are trying to lose weight, be careful in doing the diet. Some people do extreme dieting and not infrequently of those who have failed to maintain consistent body weight and become involved in ladder dieting, where the weight up and down like a ladder.
Here is a healthy and simple strategy drawn up by Ashley Koff, author of Mom Energy. He believes that in order to lose weight you have to eat the right amount of nutrients in each meal, three times the size of the meal and one snack a day.
1. Breakfast!
Make sure you consume food within 45 minutes after you wake up. This is important because when you wake up, your body's metabolic rate low until when you eat. When you put food into your body, then you increase your metabolism so it can burn fat. In closing day, try to eat last at least 3 hours before you sleep. This is to ensure that your body is already finished digesting food before you sleep.
2. Eat often
During your diet, snacks are allowed, but certainly healthy snacks that are high in fiber such as fruits and vegetables. When dieting, it is important for you to not feel hungry, because when starvation your metabolism will decrease. This happens because your body thinks you are starving so it stores food into energy reserves. Therefore, eat every 3-4 hours to make the body work at its optimum level in processing of food into energy and not stored as fat.
3. Keep servings
Eat a normal portion is key in losing weight. Avoid eating excessive portions and as much as possible peck your food every time you eat. Avoid storing food with large portions at home, such as family-sized servings of ice cream (family pack). If you buy an ice cream or other snacks, buy small in size, the smallest extent possible so that you control your portion sizes.
4. Drink lots of water
Besides helping you feel full, water helps keep your metabolism smoothly. Do not wait until you feel thirsty to drink because when thirst arises in fact you are already experiencing mild dehydration. Drink 300 ml of water when you wake up in the morning. Throughout the day you try to drink a total of 8 to 10 glasses of water. Adding pieces of lemon can help add flavor for those who are not too fond of drinking water.
5. Back to nature
The fewer processes experienced by your groceries, then the better nutritional content. Avoid foods with hydrogenated oils and high fructose sugar as fast food and instant food. As far as possible, eat fresh food that does not pass through many processes that would remove almost all nutritional content.
6. Do not despair
Negligent in maintaining the food? There banquets or meetings with important guests serving high-calorie foods and you can not refuse? No need to give up and feel like a failure. Occasional failure is a natural thing, but do not make this your stumbling block. Still continue your diet with renewed vigor tomorrow. Chinese Wall was not built overnight, so do not despair if your diet can not become a habit in a short time. Keep trying and believe that you can change your lifestyle to become healthier.
